Project Overview New Facilities Renovations or Improvements

This project consists of the construction of an approximately 12,000 square foot multi-use classroom building for Public Safety. This is a main component of the Training Center master plan. It will allow effective training for Fire recruits, in-house continuing education for Fire and Police, and regional training partners to earn certifications from the State Fire College.

The project has a total capital budget of $4,800,000.00 and is anticipated to finish by Oct 31, 2024.

The project was awarded to W.W. Compton, LLC. The pre-engineered metal building is complete. The roofing inspection and insulation are complete. Exterior metal framing and sheathing are complete and interior framing is nearly complete. Structural masonry enclosure is nearly complete. Rough-ins for mechanical, electric​al, and plumbing are underway.
